Amy Jo approaches counseling through an Adlerian lens and aims to help individuals make connections and see patterns in their personal history that allow them a clearer view of the present, giving them an opportunity to grow. She believes that with open and honest dialogue, coupled with a client’s effort, that the counseling space can be safe and transformative. For her, the therapeutic relationship is paramount, and Amy Jo strives to foster a supportive, non-judgmental space for clients. She aims to provide a space that feels both warm and secure, one in which clients feel comfortable to take risks and explore difficult topics.
Amy Jo is married and has lots of children and two fluffy labradoodles. Outside the office, Amy Jo loves to cheer for her kiddos on the sports field, walk with friends and cook delicious food. She is a member of the American Counseling Association.
